You Never Know Where You'll Find Inspiration!!
A while back I went to dreamerstudios.blogspot.com and she had done this beautiful painting of sunflowers.......It has haunted me ever since, it made such an impression on me..........Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers and I grew several different varieties in my garden this summer.
This I saw this Sunflower design in Pillsbury Classic Cookbook (Sept94) and thought I would make the giant cookie, for a friend who has been feeling down lately..............I can only hope this brightens up their day.

Man, I feel really bad because that pic of the sunflowers was just a random pic! I wish I painted it because that would been I haven't been in a painting rut. I'm so sorry! However, I decided to post it because of the same reaction you had. It looked so serene and everlasting. I hope it still inspires you even though it wasn't my painting (I really should learn to credit pitures, eh?).
I agree though, there's something about sunflowers that's special.
No worries......who did paint the picture, I would love to have to have a print of it. It is just so beautiful....I have several other pictures of Sunflowers, that I have framed, of all places in my laundry room......This is one I would love to add.
